| - Where to begin?
As another reviewer remarked, I WISH I HAD READ THE REVIEWS ON HERE FIRST. I haven't even left Vegas yet and I had to stop what I was doing to hopefully save others.
Super unprofessional! I first bought the livingsocial deal on May 4th for my birthday weekend on May 14th. I made the reservation on their website as prompted, entering in my information even though the site was not secure. Someone from the company got in contact with me to let me know the dates I had chosen were not available(why do you advertise 10am, 2pm, and 6pm rides on the livingsocial website if you don't offer 2pm rides), and let me know I had to choose another time slot. I asked if Saturday at 10am was available, and they responded letting me know I was confirmed for Friday at 10am. So of course, I had to reply letting them know I was unavailable for that date, and if they did not have the requested date I would have to cancel or reschedule. They responded with an apology that they had made a typo, and my reservation was confirmed for Saturday at 10am.
Fast forward to birthday weekend, and I am super excited. Morning of, we get a text from the company saying the guide called in sick and no other guides were available. No problem, I'm a mom...so I'm pretty understanding and patient when it comes to erratic and unforseen changes of plans. Guide felt sick, what can I do? The company offers to schedule for a 2pm ride, which I accepted and asked him to let me know if the spot was open so I could plan my day accordingly, which he agreed upon.
It's just about 1pm and still no response, so I contact them to see what is going on. He replies that they are still having an issue getting the guide, and asks me if we could reschedule for the next day at 2pm, which again I agreed. I also let him know that Sunday would probably be our last day here in Vegas, and asked him to confirm ASAP, as we had a 3 and a half hour drive ahead of us and needed to leave early.
"Ok, will do for sure."
He contacts me later in the day to let me know they have a 10am and a 2pm available, and asks my preference. I change the appointment to 10am for the sake of time(at this point my wife and I have already had to rearrange our Vegas plans twice and have missed out on quite a few things we scheduled to do), and he confirms the change.
Imagine my surpise as well when I go to check my bank account and find that I have been charged $15.45 by the company. For what? The only thing I can think of would be the mandatory $10 tip. It was my understanding however that this would be payable directly to the guide, not the company itself. And I figured it would a cash tip. And why is the company charging my card before I even redeemed my voucher? (After reading another review, it may be fraud)
Now, with all this being said...you can understand the apprehension we have when we wake up at 7am wondering if we should get ready yet another 3rd time around. We wait for his confirmation...8am andddddddd...nothing. So we contact him at 815am:
"Hi, I just wanted to make sure we were still on for 10am."
After about an hour passes, around 930ish:
"Yep...getting ready to saddle now :)"
So by this time: NO, we are not ready, nor are we close by to get there in time. My wife has been waiting to take her medication for her back pain(it makes her woozy) because she wanted to be able to take part in the ride(hence the reason we scheduled the prior rides the specific times we did), and because the company waited until last minute to confirm the rides, I told her to go ahead and take her meds so she could feel better, due to previous experiences when they cancelled or rescheduled us.
You don't call your doctor's office, leave a message with a desired appointment date and time, and then 30 minutes before the desired appointment date and time, the doctors office calls to confirm. That is not how business works. Not professional ones at least,
I explained our greivances to the individual texting us, outlined my negative experiences, and requested a full refund as politely as possible. Hell, I even thanked the person for "attempting" to work with us just to be respectful and not come across as a brazen asshole who just didn't want to pay up. Without even so much as acknowledging the inconveniences, he shrugs us off and gives us an email to contact the company as he "does not handle refunds".
Seriously bro?
Another thing, while I was looking up the information on the livingsocial website(to leave them a bad review in fact), I noticed that the deal was not popping up in my vouchers list. Upon some further research, come to find out the company marked my voucher as redeemed on May 7th. May 7th?!!?! I wasn't even in Las Vegas at that time! How can I redeem a deal in Las Vegas, NV when I was in San Bernardino, CA!!?!!?!?!?!?!
Someone needs to come and get Las Vegas Trail Riding, because if they don't Adrienne is going to have to, and it's gonna get 12 different kinds of cray.
