| - My cat, Tyler, was a patient of Dr. Newland's at Adobe for more than four years, until I recently relocated out of state. When I had to move, I was very sad to leave Adobe, but they were professionals even about copying my records for a new vet.
Some of the reasons I was sad leave Adobe:
--I was a first-time cat parent when I adopted Tyler, who was already 7 years old at the time. Dr. Newland was very patient with all of my questions and concerns at every visit.
--Tyler has some neurotic tendencies, like licking a scratch or abrasion until the spot is hairless and raw, and Dr. Newland always addressed these issues with an appropriate level of concern. They were also helpful about getting refills of the cream when this issue would recur, and would do this without the added time or expense of another visit.
--Dr. Newland always presented me with options, and explained the reasoning for his recommendations, citing both his experience and the latest research in the field. He made sure I had enough information to make the best decision, whether it was about vaccinations, teeth cleaning, or airplane travel with Tyler.
--On one occasion, I had a somewhat significant concern on a Friday night, after hours. I called Adobe, figuring that I could at least get the number for a good 24-hour emergency hospital from their answering service. Instead, Dr. Newland called me back himself (and this was after 9 pm on a Friday night)!!
--Their records are extremely thorough. My new vet commented that they were impressed with the level of detail, and had a great overall picture of Tyler's history based on those records.
--All of the staff are great, too, from the front desk folks to the veterinary assistants. If only the staff at my own doctors' offices were this efficient, friendly, and helpful!
