| - We came here on a Wed looking for a late night restaurant past 11pm, and surprisingly, found a bbq joint on Yelp that was open! Not a far drive from the strip, we were impressed by the many 4+ star reviews. Like many small bbq restaurants in the South and Midwest, they offered all the regular meats: brisket, sausage or hot links, BBQ Chicken, ribs, and pulled pork. They offered a good selection of sides as well, and I ordered the 3 meat combo (brisket with 2 orders of pork ribs) with loaded mash as my sides.
The food was decent, but not great unfortunately. The pork was definitely fall of the bone tender, and the brisket was very dry and didn't have a great taste to it. They did offer a good selection of sauces to go along with the meat, but it didn't really help and I was really looking forward to some good bbq. The problem may have been that it was 11:30pm and the food was being kept warm from earlier in the evening, but I'm still judging it based on what it was served. Maybe I'll come back during the day when the food was freshly cooked and it will be better.
