  • My 7 year old lab developed a growth on her muzzle that concerned me. The vet suggested removal and testing. Of course I agreed. Since she was going to be under I elected to have her teeth cleaned and another cyst removed. The cyst had been seen by two vets in the previous year and it was deemed cosmetic with no need for removal but since she was going to be sedated I said remove it. I should also add that Embrace was aware of this cyst as it was noted on her Vet Health check that I submitted to them when I initiated the policy. Being that I was new to Embrace, although I had them for a year, I had no issues with my pet during this time. So I went ahead and uploaded the paperwork just to become familiar with their process. I was then notified that because I did not have the cyst, that again they were aware, tested that if my pet developed any cancer related to any growths or cysts in the future coverage would be denied. Obviously, I trust my doctors and had they shown concern about the cyst when I first brought it to their attention a year ago I would have acted on it. Or had Embrace let me know to have it removed and tested I would have but that was never a concern. Because of this I cancelled my policy and am grateful my pet had no serious health issues while under the Embrace umbrella. I can't keep a policy that I can't count on. Add to that their response time is horrific.
