  • We wanted to get a quick informal bite before seeing a show in the casino showroom. Du-par's seem to fit the bill. Ambiance: the setting is a fairly typical one for a locals Casino Cafe. Lots of horseshoe shaped booths around the periphery and tables for two or four in the middle. Clean. Nothing fancy. No tablecloths. Service: the service was actually excellent. A bus boy was at our table almost immediately after we sat down. He brought us all beverages. He was followed shortly by our server who took our orders and brought us bread for the table. The water glasses were refilled throughout the meal. The food was brought in a timely fashion. Overall, five star service Food: I had the cobb salad. The portion was huge. The ingredients were all fresh. There were huge chunks of crisp bacon in the salad. Lots of diced tomato, chunks of white meat turkey, slices of hard boiled egg, and all of the other fixings found in a Cobb salad. The only real negative was the dressing. I asked for blue cheese dressing. While I think it really was blue cheese dressing it was very thin and watery and fairly tasteless. Probably the best part of the meal was there banana bread which was fabulous. Overall, this really should have been three and a half Stars. However, for $16 salad they really should have better dressing.
