I was having my Hummer H3 serviced there while it was under warranty and I have to say that I've NEVER enjoyed going. The service department is miserable at best. I had switched a couple.of times hoping to get someone with a better bedside manner but it just got worse. I had taken my vehicle in two or three times because my sunroof was leaking from both sides into the truck. Every time they'd tell me there were no leaks. My truck is now off warranty and I still have leaks. Recently I was informed of a recall on my vehicle. The recall started in 2015 regarding blower motor resistor. I didn't get a notification until last week (Feb 2018!) The sad thing is I had already had the part replaced because my heater stopped working Due to burnt wires). Took it in to a shop close to me.The guy at the shop showed me the old wires. They were burnt black. I told the lady at Foss the work had already been done. I was told that I have to bring the receipt in and talk to a service advisor about reimbursement. She booked me in for 3:45pm the following week. Went in and was told with attitude by the service advisor that he couldn't do anything with my receipt because there was info missing. (Understandable) But then he tells me I have to leave my vehicle overnight because the guys don't work past 5. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW I NEEDED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE LOOKED AT! Why would she book me in that late without informing me of the possibility (likely) that I'd have to leave my truck? Why wouldn't she have even told me they needed to look at it at.all. Left with my receipt and my truck, fuming. Such a big waste of time and gas. (It's a hummer) Called GM Canada and was told that there's a possibility that the money I spent won't even be reimbursed ! So they wait two years to notify me of a recall that has caused fires in people's vehicles then I get the run around after I have to fix it for myself. Do NOT go to Roy Foss if you want help. They are not about customer service. Had I known I would have been present when they were so called testing my vehicle for leaks. Trying another dealership. I've been a faithful GM owner since I started driving 33 years ago but the service end of GM has left a really bad taste in my mouth. They need to fix it. I understand no one's in business to lose money but here's this Roy Foss....youd actually do better being up front and not lying to your customers. They'd actually COME BACK.
