  • After seeing the reviews and the groupon deal, I decided to give Solo a try. My boyfriend and I are huge italian food fanatics, so we used the groupon deal for a date night. This little place is nestled quietly in the Biltmore area, and has a wonderful quaint ambiance filed with local art. We had the meatballs as an appetizer, and they were wonderful! Although the last meatball we shared and found a small piece of plastic inside of the meatball. We immediately notified the staff and without question or prompting they comped us a new appetizer of the glazed pork belly which was phenomenal!! We understand mistakes happen and how they handled the mistake was a clear representation of how they value their customers. We ordered entrees of the Gnudi and the Chicken Marsala. I really appreciated the time and care it took to craft the fresh pasta, and the marsala sauce was chock full of porcini mushrooms! SOOO DELISH! My boyfriend was overwhelmed by the rich and complex flavors of the gnudi, and he took his time savoring his entree. Despite being ridiculously full, we did order the black forrest cheesecake which was DIVINE!! Our service was prompt, professional and courteous. We will definitely be back for more!!
