  • I could go on for pages about Crossfit - pros and cons - so I am going to try and keep this short. I've been CFing for about 4-years now, and have been a member of 2-boxes in total. I've also dropped-in to several boxes across the country. CFED is my favorite. With 3-years of Crossfitting at one box, I've experienced bad metcon programing, bad strength programing, bad ques on lifts, complete gibberish from coaches, and "Ego-coaches" (the ones that love to hear themselves talk) that can't keep themselves from over-coaching. CFED is far from that. After being over-coached, constantly injured, and, surprisingly, losing strength, I found CFED. The programing is great, with metcons and strength that work together so athletes aren't driven into the ground. In addition, there's Yoga, Olympic Lifting, and separate Olympic Lifting/Strength Programs, if you really want to get serious about those aspects of CF. They've also offered specialized Gymnastics days. If you're new to Crossfit, you'll get all the support you need and one-on-one time to make sure you are confident. If you're experienced, you'll find the opportunity to get better at whatever skill you want. If you want to be hyper-coached, they'll oblige. If you want one que for the day and then some gentle encouragement (this is more my style), they will do that too!
