  • Sadly, we had such a great weekend until Sunday. My daughter (15yr) came down the slide and hit her foot on something and it cut her foot badly in the pool. I was sitting by the slide and there was a HUGE gash out of the top of her foot. It was bleeding badly - so we used a towel, applied pressure and I flagged down the pool gal. I told her what happened and asked for a bandage of some kind and neosporin. She came back with 2 small bandaids and a big stack of napkins. Saying there is no neosporin, she asked but "sorry, we don't have that". I told her this was a real deep cut and I really needed the neosporin. I assured her, this was a top level resort and I am sure there is a first aide kit. She returned and said, "No, we don't have anything". So, I proceeded to the gal dispersing the towels at the gate - she said that same gal had asked her and that "I" could go to the front desk. I was shocked she was sending ME on the wild goose chase, but my child was hurt, so I was off while I left her with my husband. I now get to the front desk - there are 3 front desk agents for a huge line. I wait and the gal at the front desk used to be a life guard and was so kind to help. She found 2 large bandaids and an alcohol swap - no neosporin again. She calls the gift shop to see if they do, they did. But again - "I" and now sent on the next adventure to get this. They did pay for it which was the least they could do I think. I get there....again - 4 people in line!!!!! I wait, the kind older lady knew I was coming. She had no idea how to ring up this tube so it was charged to the front desk, so I wait. Finally I told her, my daughter is injured at the pool. The hotel has sent no one to help....so i really need to go, I left. We got her all cleaned up. The gal from the pool NEVER again checked on us or asked how my daughter was. She NEVER sent over anyone above her to see about this "injury" caused on their property. I was shocked. I travel all over the country to 4star resorts and never had such a "nonchalant" reaction. Now we are 3 days later and she can't even put pressure on the foot. Went to the dr yesterday and they confirmed today there is a break in the foot right where the large gash was in the foot. They told me to call the hotel because they need to be alerted there is something that cut a foot this badly - they need to know. Sadly, I HAD told 4 people and no one cared. I will call them today to report this and hope they can get someone to see what was on the pool. And maybe some training for staff on how to handle an "on-site" injury and how to serve a guest with a child injured. What is additionally shocking, is that we were there on a FREE weekend because last time we went, there was a "party" and people running throughout the halls yelling all hours of the night, and the hotel wanted to make this up to us. So, we were really hopeful for a delightful quiet weekend, which it was until the accident!
