I have to say that every time I've had my hair done by Kiki I've left her home or shop satisfied. Kiki and her staff are very good at what they do. Her prices are reasonable and the styles last long. I offered feed back to her and her staff and expressed that I did not particularly like when my twists were burned because a bit of my real hair was burned in the process. I am sure it was an accident but it was a huge set back for me being that I am on a natural hair journey and have been trying to keep my hair nice and healthy and the purpose of me getting it braided was to "protect" it as it grows. When I addressed this with Kiki she insisted that my hair was not burned and attempted to prove it by taking one of my twists down only to prove that my hair was indeed burned. You can tell that is was burned by the smell and how my hair curled up and had little beads and the ends. My hair was very healthy and I had just had my ends clipped the day before. Kiki was very apologetic and assured me that it would not happen again.
In addition, my experience would have also been better if the young lady who twisted my hair had not been on the phone pretty much the whole time I was there, speaking loudly in my ear in a different language. Not only could I not hear the TV or anything else for that matter, I couldn't even be entertained by her phone conversation because I could not understand her language lol. Its bad enough I already had a headache because my scalp was sore, her talking on the phone the whole time only contributed to my headache.
With all of that being said, I would most definitely still recommend Kiki and her staff and I will be going back to have my hair braided again but I will be requesting Kiki specifically.
