  • I spent two nights here last summer. A couple oddities about this place: 1) No microfridge in the room. Considering we're in the desert, having access to a device that can instantly chill beverages would be much appreciated. 2) The layout seems rather clumsy and it's easy to get lost, especially if you're a n00b like me. This could be a way to promote gambling though, so it's a moot factor here. 3) While checkin for us was relatively harmless on an early Saturday evening, the following day the checkin line extended all the way to Carson City. I noticed a couple reviews from last August (when our trip took place) commenting on this issue, that some people had to wait hours just to checkin. If I was stuck in that line, I'd be pretty pissed. That would deter me from ever coming back. Hopefully they've since fixed whatever the issue was. The buffet was really good. Extensive selections and a massive dessert bar. Price was okay too. They were in the process of adding more parking which I think was desperately needed so by now that should have taken care of itself. Overall it's big, loud, you're gonna get lost a few times, but it's a place to stay. I'd come back, but I think after my last visit I determined Vegas just isn't for me. I don't care about gambling or the nightlife. Eating good food and spending money on stupid trinkets while exploring the history is really what I came here for. So, you know...whatever. 3/5 seems okay for this place.
