| - What a scam. Stay away from this place. Tried to get reservations for 6:30 Saturday night, was told on 3:30 available. So, we took the 3:30. (4) of us for dinner. We were actually there until 7:30(4 hours of slow, slow, slow service). Restaurant half full.
To make reservation, had to guarantee $35 cancellation fee per person. Only told after they took credit card information when booking reservation. So, could not cancel.
Arrived on time, got seated on time. Handed the menus and saw they had only a special Valentine's day menu. $69.95 per person. And a limited menu. Okay, so if we cancel, we lose $140 (4 * $35) or we stay and take our chances. Didn't find out until afterwards, but on their website, Special menu is listed under "Specials and Events), click a couple more times and you find their Valentine's Day special. Not on the main page of their website under Menus and not told when booking reservation.
So, rather than cause a scene, we stayed. What a mistake.
Service was horrible. Probably one of the worst in the valley. Everytime the waitress came by, she had to interject herself into our conversation with her experiences on the subject we were talking about. Who cares what she has to say. Not to be rude, but if we wanted to talk to the waitress in depth, we would have invited her to dinner.
Then, she couldn't remember anything. Had to remind her several times to bring the wine, the champagne. And clumsy. Nearly dropped a pot of hot melted cheese on my wife. Missed, but got the floor. Yummy.
The setup of the tables is equally bad. Everytime the temperature on the stovetops had to be adjusted, you have to move your chairs so the waitress can reach under the table to adjust the setting. Really. Who thought that up.
And the food. Basically overpriced boiled food. Super salty. Not much taste. I get fondue, but something about boiled meat just seemed off.
So, you order the appetizer(s), 2 to be shared. 4 people share (6) tiny pieces of bread. A couple of pieces of salami, summer sausage. Probably 50 cents worth of ingredients. The melted cheese wasn't bad, but not great.
Then the salad. Kidding me right. Nope. So small not even sure why they brought it out. And basically some greens covered in average caesar dressing.
Main course of a chicken potsticker, a couple pieces of raw chicken, a couple pieces of beef and some veggies. The best part is "boiling" the meat and chicken in broth.
The dessert was passable. Hot chocolate fondue with the absolute smallest piece of banana you can imagine. 2 strawberries, a piece of carmel cheesecake, an ice cream dough thing. I think I have seem the same at Costco for a couple of bucks for 100 of them.
But, you can have all of it for $140 per couple, plus tax, plus an automatic 20% tip. Then the last joke of the evening, a place on the bill to put additional tip.
Ranks amongst one of the worst dining experiences ever. Bad service, mediocre food, way overpriced.
And to enjoy the experience even more. The wife gets to spend a good portion of the following day on the throne (you know what I mean).
Called today to tell the General Manager about the experience. Could not talk to him and he was way to busy to talk to a customer(not any more). So, told the assistant manager about the experience. Basically called me a liar and that the experience from beginning to end could not be the way I described. And then the best response every from a restaurant. "So, what do you want me to do about it".
Absolutely nothing. That's why we have Yelp. Because Yelp listens.
Don't eat at this place. Not worth the trip.
