  • This past Sunday was my first time in this establishment, and it was not very busy. I ordered a reuben but I was told they ran out of both Swiss and Monterey Jack cheese. Pretty pathetic for a restaurant to not notice it was running out of something but even more pathetic it didn't go to the grocery store and buy some so they can get through the afternoon. DO NOT ORDER THE GARLIC FRIES!! THEY SUCK! Extremely salty to the point you can only eat one or two and then you are done. Alex, the bartender, really didn't do much to make the experience any better or at least take the fries off my check. Speaking of Alex - how long does it take to pour a Guinness? HOLY CRAP!!! When I am the only customer at the bar needing a drink, I should not have to wait 10 minutes for a pint of Guinness. Completely unacceptable. The reuben, Guinness, and the live Irish music were good but in general, there are much better places than Fibber Magees.
