| - I have been been a frequent video poker player for over 20 years. One of the things I always hated about casinos is that they can get filled with cigarette/cigar smoke at times (because I actually become physically ill if I am in a smoke filled room for more than a few minutes). Based on this, I only gamble at casinos that offer no smoking sections. Green Valley has one of the best non smoking sections in Vegas/Henderson. Unlike many casinos (who just set up a very small section of the casino as non smoking, and is surrounded by the smoking area), Green Valley actually designates an entire wing to non smoking, that is nicely separated from the smoking area. They also offer 99.8% return, and over 100% return, video pokers games in this section (so the game selection is very good, and there are many slant tops, which are less taxing on your arm, wrist and back, if you play for awhile). Another thing I like about Green Valley is when you order a coffee/tea (or my favorite Green Valley hot drink, hot chocolate with whipped cream) from a cocktail waitress, they give you a regular cup that you would get if you ordered it from a coffee shop (like Starbucks or Jitters). Most other casinos serve you coffee/tea in these little wimpy water glasses. Overall, Green Valley is elegant inside and out, offers many good video poker machines, a great non smoking section, a big food court, great resturuants, and good normal size drinks served by pretty cocktail waitresses....the only negative is, if you ONLY play over 100% video poker games, your monthly mailer is going to be terrible, no matter how much you gamble...I am at Green Valley's highest reward level (Chairman), and my monthly mailer is ridiculously much lower than any other casino that I gamble at....but putting that aside, Green Valley is a very good casino.
