I guess if you like bland, uninteresting food that comes out of a freezer, the Pickle Barrel could be your kind of place.
I always wondered why the place had the Bible for a menu (literally 30 pages long), and then it was finally explained to me by my boyfriend -- "The only way they can keep that many food choices on hand everyday is by keeping them all frozen." Ahhhhh. It all makes sense now. I can choose between a million different items that will all be prepared in the same amount of time because they just have to be defrosted!
GROSS. They're a huge chain restaurant with a huge following of people who are more comfortable eating somewhere familiar than trying something new that will likely use fresh food and taste substantially better.
To be honest, when I go out, I expect that my food will taste better than the Michelina's I eat on a really lazy day. At Pickle Barrel, it won't. Go elsewhere.
