| - I ventured here again with my husband and our newborn son. I'm writing another review not to change anything I stated before, but to add another amazing perk I discovered while being here a second time. As a new mom, I was a bit concerned about making sure I would find a secluded spot to nurse my newborn. I initially was going to find an empty bench or chair in the corner but I remembered that the last time we went to OdySea, it was the day after thanksgiving and the aquarium was fairly empty. Now that we went on a regular Saturday, it was packed! And I could barely find a secluded area for me to sit in.
With heavy doubts, I asked an employee if any of the bathrooms happened to have a nursing station. I've been spoiled by the Nursing stations that department stores have at the mall, and though I expected the OdySea employee to say no, I thought I'd ask anyways.
Come to find out, they do have a nursing station! And IT IS AMAZING! It's located in the back halls of the aquarium, near the penguin exhibit, so you need an employee to guide you over there. It's a completely private room that has an attached bathroom for mom or bigger kids. The room has a rocking chair and footstool, changing table, books and toys for bigger kids to play with, and my favorite THE BOPPY!
As a new mom, having access to a room like this is really extraordinary and made my second experience at the aquarium even better than the first!
