The care my dog received from the vets was great.
Unfortunately, the front end staff (receptionists) created a very negative experience. They did not understood how insurance worked; reassured us they'd sort us out in the morning and made us make a tough choice to pay a deposit upfront (which we did). However, the next day we unfortunately found out from a different receptionist & the insurance that by doing that deposit, it essentially left us ineligible through the insurance company to arrange direct bill between the vet and the insurance. What a nightmare. Additionally, the lack of empathy and sympathy a receptionist showed us on several occasions over the weekend (I'm sorry we interrupted your game of Bejeweled) was worse then the financial mess-up. The vet care is good but the front staff aren't and we have since found a better vet hospital in Calgary.
