| - After reading the reviews on yelp I have decided to try Gaspers. Brick oven Pizza, I'm there. Wow!!! In a world of Italian restaurants this place stands out. My wife and I started with the Margherita Pizza - fresh mozzarella, apparently homemade flavorful and light, with fresh basil and tomatoes, what a great start to a meal. My wife opted for the chef's special Chicken with artichokes- very tender chicken breast with sweet peppers, artichoke hearts garlic and what seemed to be a port wine reduction, a great combination of flavors. I ordered another of the chef's specials which was a zucchini and ricotta lasagna. Layers of roasted zucchini and yellow squash with spinach and ricotta and it was served over a robust tomato sauce with basil. Hit the spot, not heavy at all, perfect portion. Service was friendly and professional, a young gentleman Brad I think was spot on, with wine recommendations and some of the best chocolate cheesecake I have tasted in a long long time. As another reviewer mentioned don't know why this place is called a Pizzeria, as in my opinion Gasper's stands with some of the best Italian places in the Phoenix area. Kudos for keeping true Italian food alive and well. With dinner, wine and dessert we managed to walk out with less than $60.00 very reasonable and we can afford to eat here twice a week. Highly recommend giving Gasper's a try.
