| - Cheaper than Wet N' Wild but the prices are $27 for four year olds? C'mon, seriously? She couldn't do anything, obviously, other than the Kids Cove, wave pool, and 'kinda' the lazy river.
****Overall, if anything else, to avoid potential drownings, they desperately need inner tubes with bottoms in some of them, for kids who are small and slip through -- and inner tubes that aren't all "big" -- kids slip right through these and can't reach from end to end. But with the plastic bottoms... even LegoLand's add-on waterpark has these. The Wave Pool and lazy river are a workout for parents trying to hold onto your kids as they slip through the openings of the inner tubes. My one daughter slipped through and ended-up awkwardly, face down in the water, stuck with her head through the middle of the inner tube... I quickly yanked her up and of course we had a life jacket on her but that will NOT save her from drowning if they are stuck in that position. FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY.
The lines at the top of the wave slide (near Kid's Cove, the big blue wave one) are only long because there's not enough inner tubes. We just stood there waiting for them to come up the elevator, but they hardly ever did but when they did, they went to the other slide, which is apparently the priority (there are two slides at the top). Back in the day at other parks, we just carried up the rafts, which isn't ideal, but it would be a million times faster that way instead of just standing around. If they had more rafts, it would literally be walk-on, ride... and would be insanely fun that way.
The slide where you go face first on the flume, I saw about 1/8th of the people getting stuck, for some reason. I didn't, it was fun for me, but it looks like there were dry spots that people got stuck on.
At the top of the big wave-looking blue slide (the one with the blue slide and the green/yellow slide), the lifeguards were dicking around too much, like pouring water on people waiting in line below on the stairs. But, when it came time to get people ready, they matured and took it more seriously.
Now, the good...
There were 14 (we counted) lifeguards at the wave pool, which was great because if something's going to go down here, it'll be in that pool. My kids liked that more than anything.
The food prices are pretty fair for a park like this, so we appreciated that.
The locker system is $10 for a usable locker ($8 for a locker where you can basically fit one shoe) but there's a cool barcoded wristband that you put up to the sensor and it pops open your locker.
The lazy river is pretty nice if you don't have young kids (mine kept falling through the big hole in the inner tubes).
This is random but I really like the art and the graphics they have on their signs around the park. It's a nice touch, makes it seems more 'fun'.
Overall... I'd recommend but they have to get on the ball with the damn lines. If it's packed, it's one thing but if it's just standing around waiting for inner tubes, then that's garbage and needs to be fixed. But, you can have a fun time here and it seems clean... but not an amazing value for the money.
