I was worried after reading all the negative reviews about this property and what we will be about to encounter. To my surprise I was put at ease.
As we entered Lake Las Vegas off the main drag, we were greeted by man made waterfalls and a few murky drying up ponds.
The driveway into the main Hilton entrance was nicely manicured. I followed many of the parking tips and found the handy parking on the second floor. But be forewarned, it is still a hike & a maze to our room.
The public areas are beautifully appointed with large display cases of art ware. We were just amazed with how huge/grand everything is.
The gardens just outside the reception area are nicely appointed and manicured.
Our room 1485 which is a double & adjoining room to match was clean and a huge bathroom suite with a full size soaking tub. We all totally enjoyed our heavenly beds & the bath soaks. I think our room must have been renovated cause the carpet was clean & felt new.
The pool area was clean with a lifeguard on duty. It's an oversize Olympic lap pool filled with kids today enjoying the warm sunny day. The jacuzzi was clean but not hot enough to our liking. The gym was small but enough to get a little workout done.
Though there was no casino on the property, we didn't really miss it at all and all that cigarette smoke that normally come with that clientele.
We really didn't get the chance to try out the property restaurants for being the foodies that we are. We were too busy in town trying out the Restaurants recommended by fellow Yelpers.
One down fall is the murky lake. Maybe more running/circulating water could help its flow.
Overall we had a very relaxing 5 days at this resort. I liked the fact that we were away from the strip & out at a remote resort. Looking forward to coming back again.
