| - My lower back was very sore so I went to visit my massage therapist. 3 visits later, I was not seeing any improvements and my RMT suggested I visit a chiropractor. I'm all about convenience, so when I found out Dr. Clarke was on the subway line, I decided to give it a try.
At my first appointment, Dr. Clarke was able to quickly assess me and was able to fix me in one visit! I expected we would come up with some sort of maintenance plan and that I would be asked to come back for a zillion more visits, but not at all! (My last experience with a different chiropractor was very negative - I was asked to come back 3 or 4 times a week and I didn't notice any improvement.)
Dr. Clarke explained what could have caused my pain and taught me some stretches I could do at work and at home. Rather than booking me for a follow up, she left it to me to decide if I needed to come back. Luckily, I did not need to come back! I was repaired in one simple visit. I haven't seen my RMT since. I have also become more aware of my posture and my habits at work.
Despite being a chiropractor, Dr. Clarke actually did quite a bit of massage on me, which felt great! I don't know the medical/technical details, but it was something about warming or loosening the muscles around the joints before the adjustment because all of this stuff works together. All I know is that it worked for me!
I have had a couple of other unrelated issues and visited Dr. Clarke for relief. All of my visits were quick, easy and painless. Never was I pressured into making follow up appointments - that's my favourite part. Also, I can book my appointments online. It's so easy to check availability and schedule myself in when convenient for me.
