This is a must if in Central Phoenix. It is an unassuming industrial set up that sits next to an auto parts store, but it works! We passed it the first time and had to u-turn it. Once we found the entrance, we were greeted pleasantly by Nick and he took us the rest of the way. TIMO is a wine (and full) bar with insane food. We started with a Pino Grigio (wife) and I sampled a Pinot Noir. Our first pairing was a Brushetta sampling that was off the charts! You can select three (of many) for a reasonable price, but we had our eye on four - mushroom and brie; a ricotto w/ lemon zest; a salmon w/ balsamic reduction; and a traditional. Amazing! I ponied up to a full body Cab, and enjoyed the diver scallops and a margerhita pizza (way too much food). Scallops were insane. The crust on the pizza was like none I have ever tasted. We finished with the peach cobbler with homemade whip and vanilla bean ice cream. All for about $100 - very reasonable!
I cannot say enough about Nick and the others. Everyone seemed to care. We are out of towners and will make this stop a must everytime! Thanks for a killer evening. The only suggestion is sometimes I am not a wine-mood guy and would prefer a tap IPA. I will sacrifice and drink from a can just to enjoy the food and atmosphere.
