I have enjoyed Honey Salt so much in previous experiences that I recently bought $50 of gift certificates to use there from a local fundraiser. I'm sorry to say it will probably be my last visit. We came on a Sunday and there was a brunch menu. I ordered the Honey Salt Benedict. I have to say it was pretty tasteless except for a bitter taste I kept tasting. I think I isolated it to the english muffin part of it. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Steak and Eggs. However, the eggs were sunny side up and there was no toast included. The meal was expensive to begin with and then they charged $5 for 2 pieces of toast. That should have been included - what do you dip in the sunny side up eggs? The last straw was when we used the gift certificates. Our meal for the above mentioned and 2 sodas was almost $50 (quite expensive for breakfast in my opinion). We were planning on using the remainder on the certificate as part of the tip but we were told that we wouldn't get any change back from the gift certificates (but only when I asked). It would have been nice to be informed - we would have ordered something else to use the whole certificate. I gave it the second star because the restaurant really is decorated nicely.
