I frequent DTLV, I've been to Beauty Bar, and I don't give them my business. It's grungy, it's boring, and it's surrounded by really fun places so why would I? Additionally, they are constantly offending the local crowd and literally none of my friends go here. Now Beauty Bar has gone and upset 50% of their customer base. Maybe the person who wrote "I like my beer like I like my violence: Domestic" on your outside signage just didn't think it through but yeah, it's not really good marketing guys. You guys need guidance from real industry professionals.
When they're not making domestic violence jokes, they are providing you with a boring night out. Locals simply haven't enjoyed this spot in a long time and it's too bad that one of the oldest bars on East Fremont had to go down this route. But I can't say it's terribly missed, there are plenty of well-managed, fun places in the surrounding area. I formerly lived in NYC and locals don't really frequent Beauty Bar there either but that one is much more enjoyable than this one.
I would give Beauty Bar one star even before their domestic violence marketing attempt. Other bars in the area have become sort of touristy but have been able to remain fun and local-friendly as time goes on. So what's your excuse Beauty Bar?
