| - Disappointing
For a restaurant specializing in Fajitas, I expected better. We stopped into Fajita's for lunch and we were seated immediately. Our server took our drink order and a hot basket of chips and salsa were brought to our table as we looked at our menus.
The chips and salsa were not the best. I like salty chips and spicy salsa. These had neither. In fact the salsa tasted just like crushed tomatoes poured directly from a can.
For the main course, my lunch companion and I ordered the lunch portion steak fajitas. The fresh made flour tortilla were okay as was the steak. The skillet was a large bed of onions (which quickly burned) and 2 slices of pepper, one red and one green.
I would have hoped for more peppers and a little more steak. I am used to the Fajitas I get at my favorite Mexican restaurant. Which are loaded with green peppers, red peppers, onion, and tomato along with cheese. At Fajitas, most of the fajita plate is onions. They bring a separate cup with cheese, salsa, and sour creme.
To enter a positive note the wait staff are helpful, friendly, and accommodating. However, the food, slightly below average.
