We rented a car via Hotwire for a recent business trip in Las Vegas. We like to eat off strip and it's more convenient to have a car to get to places like Chinatown. I've never even heard of Sixt before, and really wasn't expecting to get a rental from this place (Hotwire does not really advertise any sort of partnership with this company, they only show the usual suspects when you book). I wasn't sure what to expect and it was only when we got to the rental after our flight that this place is such a shit show!
While the employees all seem nice enough, they were all completely clueless as to what the procedures are. One of the most frustrating things is that they don't seem to have any cars ready for you to drive when you show up for your reservation- you have to check in and then wait who knows how long for them to "clean" it. After waiting in one line behind one person for over 20 minutes without movement, we finally got serviced only to have to wait even longer. And we only were able to get our car after we were tired of waiting for the cleaning and asked where our car was. At that point the desk employee went to "see what's going on" and magically we had a car. I have a sense that we would have just kept on waiting if we hadn't spoken up. There are clearly no proper procedures in place for rentals.
I encourage everyone to steer clear of this place, and be careful if you book a rental in Vegas via Hotwire, you might be stuck with this horrible company and wait and wait and wait... Oh, and after waiting for the "cleaning" our car arrived pretty dirty inside. There were footprints on the passenger side dash from the passenger resting their dirty bare feet there. It was also pretty dusty and the carpets hadn't been vacuumed. Never again!
