My boss recommended their red velvet cupcake. I immediately went to get it for a friend because it's vegan and was super excited about it. I'm also always looking for new cafes, as a kid study spot. I get there and the place is dark, the decor isn't bright and welcoming. There's staff behind the counter but they aren't smiling genuinely and the atmosphere isn't quite upbeat. I look for the red velvet cake and some other variety of vegan goodness and I'm surprised to see a very empty display shelf. I got to the cafe at 11am. I'm always weary of cafes/bakeries who don't have stocked shelves. The red velvet cupcakes looked subpar, granted I had high expectations. I was still set on gifting this to a friend until I saw the price. $5.99 for a cupcake, albeit vegan, is a no go for me. I didn't get to try any of their treats or menu items. This review is on the atmosphere and the fact they don't have wifi! I won't go back but appreciate their vegan contribution to the community, hence the 2 stars.
