My close friend was a faithful customer of Hannah's for the last several years and recommended her to me. I started getting my hair regularly cut and coloured from her about 7 years ago at the old place and have followed her to her new place. I have always been happy. However, last year for the first time ever I got a bad cut from Hannah and I just chalked it up to a bad day for her and kept going to see her and things seemed better again. Another time I waited an hour for my appointment but that didn't bother me as when I felt like I was getting a good cut at the end of it. However, last month I returned and after waiting again (despite having an appointment), got a terrible cut again. She was very rushed and the cut was completely uneven. Also, parts of my hair didn't get coloured evenly. I noticed it as I was leaving the salon but she was busy already with another customer (another person blow-dried my hair) and I was late for work, so I left and I sent her a text. She didn't reply.
I mentioned it to my friend who had originally referred me there so many years ago and she said she'd had a similar experience last year and now no longer goes there and she was sad about it because she had been Hannah's client for so many years.
Anyway, I am really sad to have to write this review because I have gone to Hannah and Goa and now the second iteration of Goa for so many years and always been happy but the last cut was the final straw for me - I feel like I have given them a few chances to redeem themselves in the hopes of finding what I once had here but it's time for me to move on now. It's sad because I like Hannah and her staff a lot and the prices are reasonable and it's really conveniently located for me. I am sure I could go here again and get a good cut - but it seems like it's hit or miss these days. Perhaps Hannah is just too busy or something is going on with her but the quality of her cut is just not consistently good anymore and ranges from excellent to terrible.
