  • American Apparel has become my "crack". I snubbed my nose at this place for many years - thinking it way too hipster or "80's flashback" for my taste. Many of the styles still fit that description for me; however, I find myself loading up on basics like tees, scarves, tights, leggings, and socks! These items are so classic that they are easily mixed, matched, dressed up, and dressed down that I find myself reaching for them again and again. The sizing can be a little 'off' as I am a size 4 (bottom) and S or XS (top) in every other store except AA. I've found myself buying M or L in some items - so definitely try things on! I'm indifferent on the store's location...maybe because of it's convenience, or lack thereof, to my house and parking in Shadyside. The store itself is great - with 3 floors of everything you could want and spend hours looking at.
