| - I have updated my review to remove the anger that I had felt during this transaction and I just want my story to be heard.
In late 2015 I had purchased ilovekickboxing classes on Groupon and had went to a couple classes. I loved the environment and the workout and felt it would be beneficial since I was trying to lose weight for my wedding, so I bought the year long package deal. A week before Christmas I was walking across a parking lot while working and had been involved in a hit-and-run. I had been seen by the chiropractor that was appointed to me and they said I would be as good as new in a couple months. I relayed this message to the ilovekickboxing people and they were more than accommodating, told me that the months I'm out I could use after my year expires. Perfect! Great customer service. Months pass by and I ended up getting a lawyer for the hit-and-run and a new doctor and had several X-rays taken. The only thing seen at the time was a herniated disk in my back. I was asked if there was absolutely anything else that hurt that I could think of. I remembered my shoulder hurt a little when I went to kickboxing classes and was appointed a doctor who specializes in that area. The doctor had requested through my workers comp that I get an MRI with contrast ink. Months passed until my workers comp approved of this. Come to find out there's a slap tear in my shoulder that was caused by the accident. The doctor injected me with cortisone shots and all felt better, after a couple of months of follow ups I asked if I was all healed and the doctor told me , "no the slap tear will never heal but we can keep injecting you with cortisone shots if it bothers you". No way I don't want to keep injecting meds in my body. Now it's been going on 11 months since I've been to an ilovekickboxing class and they have checked up on me to see how I was doing, which is great, and continued to reassure me that when I'm 100% better I can come back and use that year I payed for. Well, I told them my new news, that can't be the case, my shoulder will never heal and if there was anyway of getting a refund since I can't enjoy the classes. The person on the phone says "absolutely, bring in a doctor's note". I bring in the doctor's note and they tell me the Manager will get a hold of me in a couple days. I don't hear from the Manager for a couple weeks, I don't know if she's trying to avoid me or if she never got the message. So I keep trying to get a hold of her. Finally, I get on the phone with Danni, I tell her this story and on her end all I hear is "I'm so sorry", "that's terrible", "oh my god", and "unfortunately, we have a no refund policy". Really!? It's not like I went to the classes and was disappointed and am asking for my money back, I never went. She explains "you can always use your year when you're 100% better". Did she not hear any of my story? I will never be 100% better. She then tells me she'll talk to corporate which is the same conclusion.
Moral of the story, be careful buying this package you don't know what kind of bad news tomorrow may hold, they obviously only care about the money they make.
