rev:text	They should abolish the front counter. Whether there's one person or eight people (or even no one) waiting at the counter you are third priority behind drive thru and whatever mindless mcjob the nearest crew member is preoccupied with. God forbid it's breakfast time. Join the throng of standees with tickets crowding the counter. But I'm not here to state the obvious. The expanded mccafe menu is just the latest stretch to service virtually extended beyond its limited capabilities already. The americano, an espresso based drink which is essentially espresso and hot water is probably the most simple drink on the menu aside from a plain old cup of coffee. No matter the location, it is painful to watch the panic and cluelessness of said crew member in the making of this drink. The charge for this drink is right on par with Starbucks done only with a McDonald's 'touch'. They aren't exactly pounding shots like baristas to be sure. Instead of initiating the drink as the first order of business, the food portion of your order is pulled and left to fester and get cold while the scramble is on as to how this drink is made or to find someone who knows how to make it. Every time. Which leads me to admit that the drink is actually legit; if you are patient beyond the norm. As far as the execution of the crew....I'm all for it! Overall, there is a definite credibility gap between McCafé and McDonald's that has yet to be reconciled before I take them as a serious alternative to the actual coffee house...unless Starbucks starts serving Mc nuggets and fries. Additional training is needed before a more sophisticated menu is installed...don't you think?
