  • You might even know you are doing business with Anthem Claim Management but if your mover is self insured you probably are and you should tuck tail and run. Don't deal with that mover and do not deal with Anthem Claim Management. My first complaint is with the moving company. Don't ever use B52 Movers. Rude, unethical, dishonest. They told me I didn't need additional moving insurance because they were self insured. Ha - Yes with Anthem Claim Management where no matter what you've lost the most they will pay is 60 cents per pound. That is ridiculous given that a piece of jewelry that has no weight could be worth 20 times what a heavy piece of furniture. I'm sure it was in the small print somewhere enough to keep them "legal" but certainly not ethical. B52 took 2 months to process my claim and put me in touch with Anthem who took equally long to process my claim for 2 pieces of lost furniture. I priced them out buying used on Craig's list. I could replace them for around $800 but told them I'd settle for $500. Another HA. $60.00 was the 60 cent per pound price that they would pay. Aside from going to small claims court what choice did I have so I signed the papers for which I had to pay a Notary to document. Over a month later no response. Many phone calls and emails on my part with no responses from B52 or Anthem. End result is that apparently (but I cannot confirm) according to Anthem B52 has closed it's doors on 1/1/18. I started the process in September - if things had been done in a timely manner I might have collected at least the $60.00. Now there is nothing. And to make matters worse as I look back over my timeline Anthem was still "processing" my claim even after B52 closed. What was the point except to keep me in limbo and to force me to pay a notary fee. I have tried to contact the Manager at Anthem Claim Mgmt - Jonathan - and he literally refuses to return my phone calls. I know they are not going to pay me but he certainly should be concerned that his employees are not doing their job. The one employee kept telling me to leave her alone and just call B52. I told her I would like to but they do not answer their phone. This was in March and a few days later it was another employee at Anthem that told me B52 had closed their doors in January. So in other words, the first employee couldn't be bothered to check for me and just kept giving lip service. There are few companies where there is anything that resembles Customer Service but B52 and Anthem are the epitome of how bad customer service has become.
