This update is for the manager Jason H. and the photo department at this Target location. Today I was shocked and incredibly disappointed in the way Jason H. treated me as a loyal Target shopper. Short story=this photo department is ALWAYS unmanned and the hours posted as open are FALSE.
Long story=
I went in to Target today thinking I could get some pictures to give to a friend tomorrow. I chose the one-hour basic option and when my pick-up receipt printed it said my order was placed at 4:35 pm and that my photos would be ready at 5:15 pm. So I went to Costco and picked up some groceries with the intention of returning to Target at the pick-up time. I arrived back at Target at 5:10 pm and as usual there was no manning the photo department. This lack of customer service is usual so I always ask an employee to come help me and then they give me my photos. Today however, an employee named Michele had no idea what she was doing when she went back to the photo department and said no one could help me. I said that was IMPOSSIBLE since the photo lab hours are clearly stated as 12-6 pm. Additionally, I received a pick-up receipt from the photo kiosk that said that my photos would be ready at 5:15 pm today. Michele said she would get her manager on duty and then after waiting a few minutes I saw her talking to a man. I approached him and asked if he was the manager and he immediately become defensive and cold. He said he was the manager and that he would try and help me. We walked over to the photo lab and Jason said the following patronizing comments to me: "You really should ask for help and not demand it" and "There's certain ways you ask for stuff if you want people to do things". I told Jason not preach to a customer who has been misled and just do his job. Then Jason became even more rude by refusing to offer me any solution other than to pick up the photos tomorrow. I asked why NO ONE IN THE ENTIRE STORE INCLUDING HIM COULD HELP ME and admitted "The photo people leave at 4. We just don't have the hours to man the photo department". What kind of manager and company advertises a product to be available during certain hour and then lets their employees leave early because they can't afford to keep them???????????????? So basically Jason H. failed at customer, refused to offer a helpful solution and overall lost business for Target today.
