  • I'm going to keep this short. We went to Wally's on a Sunday afternoon. It's located in a deserted strip mall - keep your eyes peeled, it's easy to drive past it. Very nice atmosphere consistent with the neighborhood. Lots of blue hairs - but they're upscale blues so they're cool. The girlfriend ordered fish and chips - they were delicious and part of that upper echelon of the familiar fish and chips meal. Now - what I ordered quite possibly may be the greatest thing you will ever consume. Gruyere and Slab Bacon Mac n Cheese - yes - Gruyere AND bacon . Simple as it sounds, this dish is designed with one purpose - create the most delicious serving of food ever to be conceived. I'm not joking - if there's only one reason to visit Wally's - this is it. It's put together in an iron skillet, baked for however long, and served to you in said skillet. I'm not going to go into details about the dish - you have to find out for yourself. Which I implore you to do.
