| - Fantastic option at Fashion Square. Forego all of the mediocre food court and most sit down options at the mall and head to the cafe instead. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the 3rd floor at Nordstrom, the restaurant is a nice respite from the busy mall. Yes, it is cafeteria-style how you order, but don't let that sway you, food is cooked to order. I have yet have to have a bad meal there. I've tried paninis, pizzas, soup, salads and desserts. The tomato bisque is indeed (as many have said before) quite delicious. And you do need to try the desserts. The cookies are to die for and the creme brûlée is real treat.
Service too is quite nice, although the frequent visits by the wait staff, asking if you need anything, can become a bit annoying. You won't however have to complain about bad service!
During my last visit I noticed each meal option had a calorie count associated with it on the menu, a helpful ordering tool if calories are something you track.
At the end of the meal the wait staff always leaves you a little chocolate/mint treat. A nice little extra. Definitely one of my favorites in the neighborhood.
PS: It can be busy at times, especially around noon with shoppers, ladies that lunch and mall staff, making the place a little loud.
