this is truly an awful ER. the last time i went in because of horrible nerve pain, i waited for about 3 hours to get in....the "triage" process that the nurses use being entirely discriminatory to people with 'invisible pain'. there were people with flu symptoms who were put ahead of me, and i was likely in far more distress and pain than anyone else in the waiting room. when i finally was seen, the sh%thead, egotistical doctor who saw me was about the worst doctor encounter i have ever experienced (dr. mason). he refused to examine me, and refused to assist me in getting out of pain. when i complained that he was offering me absolutely no help at all, he immediately called the police over to threaten and intimidate me (they are apparently often just sort of stationed there because they have so many issues). they said that if i didn't leave right away, that they would arrest me and i would go to jail (even though i explained to them what my issue was, and that my patient rights were being completely violated). there was about 5 police officers there plus several security guards, and just ONE doctor on duty. that should tell you precisely what the priority is at this hospital. go ANYWHERE else.
