| - This hotel is clean, reasonably priced, and convenient if you are staying at the University of Calgary. The rooms are basic, resembling dorm-style rooms. They are clean and convenient, with a mini-bar fridge, microwave, and single-cup coffee maker. The beds are comfortable, and my floor was quiet. The bathrooms were also decent. I had problems getting the heat to work properly in my room, but they fixed it quickly. There is often a wait at the front desk, as there is rarely more than one person working and answering phones at the same time.
There's no gym in the hotel, but you have access to the University of Calgary fitness centre, which is accessible immediately across the street with a 5 minute walk. Not the most convenient in winter-time (even walking across the street in shorts can been painful), but it's an amazing gym.
Overall, this is basic, economical way of staying near University of Calgary. It's not luxurious, but it works well.
