| - I try not to judge IF mistakes are made, but how those mistakes are handled and rectified. Overall, there was a couple of disappointments along the way, but all things considered I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. The primrose courtyard proved to be beautiful, classy and timeless for our big day.
My original wedding planner was LaQuitter Drummer and her assistant was Deirdre Kennedy. I met with LaQuitter on a trip to Vegas last summer when looking at different venues for our wedding. At the time, she seemed professional and made big promises. Based off of our meeting and after viewing the space we decided to go with the Wynn Primrose Courtyard. I had been shown pictures of previous ceremonies, and knew exactly which floral arrangements, colors etc that I wanted. She stated that she would document all of this information in our file.
Fast forward to a few days before Christmas, I get a phone call from Deirdre, "Merry Christmas, LaQuitter is no longer working for the Wynn". Not exactly in those words but you get the idea... She never made notations of prices, arrangements etc that we had chosen. As it turns out, the prices she quoted me weren't accurate. Deirdre checked with management and the Wynn did the right thing by honoring what was quoted to me originally. I was eventually assigned to a new coordinator, Darlene Wilson and her assistant remained Deirdre.
Darlene and Deirdre make a great team. They were a pleasure to work with and I recommend the both of them very highly. We exchanged several emails each week leading up to my wedding, which I very much appreciated being so far away.
Disappointments:
Not being able to schedule the rehearsal time within a reasonable amount of time in advance.
The fake candles in the white boxes were DIRTY. Those really need to be cleaned between ceremonies.
We prepaid for waters for each of our guests were not handed out at the time of our ceremony.
There was supposed to be a romantic turn down service for us in our room. But when we arrived back to our room on our wedding night, there was a box of rose petals and a bottle of warm champagne in a bag. It's as if they walked in the room and dropped it off but it was not executed.
We spent over 40k for our wedding (all of which was at the Wynn, with the exception of the rehearsal dinner) and we didn't even get so much as an upgrade to our room. I understand that it's a drop in the bucket for Vegas, but it wouldn't have hurt them to go the extra mile. The discounted rate our guests were offered was not really a discounted rate at all. I didn't even book directly with the hotel.
Overall, the Primrose Courtyard made for a gorgeous evening ceremony. I would definitely do it all over again and wouldn't change the location or the staff I was assigned to. My friends and family are still talking about how beautiful everything turned out.
