| - Came here on a Friday night, arriving at 6:30... Had a 30 minute wait as they don't take reservations, which I was prepared for and it gave me prime opportunity to grab a brandy old fashion at the bar and people watch. First, the drink was delicious, nicely muddled with orange and cherry and was only $5.50 (yay Wisconsin). Second, the crowd is a mix of 60% groups of 40 year olds, 30% groups of young professionals and 10% college students in sweat pants.
We ordered a lazy Susan appetizer which had great variety, a cornucopia of Wisconsin delights, very reasonably priced and worth savoring. Dinner was the fried walleye, which was light and flaky, with an expert amount of breading to not over power such a delicious fish.
The waitstaff is very, very busy so don't expect to make any BFF's or hear more than the regimental specials of the day.
Overall, great place for a Friday fish fry with good friends who don't mind sharing bites and leaning in to hear the conversation.
