Unprofessional manager! I believe her name is Trudy. I was purchasing an item yesterday with a double points coupon. The cashier could not scan the coupon. She paged her manager who stated that it was because it was an everyday great value. The manager left and was re-paged when the cashier was unable to show me where that was stated. The manager said that she just knew because she'd been working there 5 years. I stated that the customer had no way of knowing that based on the coupon wording (nor did the cashier). The manager then said that I would have to go on-line and search for more details and she could not go on-line at the store.
I decided to look for another item and restated that the customer had way of knowing that. I then proceeded to walk away. Coupon issue was an annoyance and not a big deal. What really upset me was the rude tone used during the conversation. On top of that, the manager proceeded to make comments to the effect of "well, yes there is, if you looked on line..." after I already walked away and she thought that I could not hear her.
Management, be aware that your customers have ears and CAN HEAR YOU!!! Part of a managers job is to be professional and discuss issues directly with your customers. I am sure there are other employees who would value having your position and can maintain a professional demeanor....with the understanding that dealing with customer issues is part of what you were hired to do. I must say the cashier was helpful and professional, yet this is the management model she is receiving. Sad!!!
I try and support local businesses...especially in a shopping center that needs the help. Customer of 5 years at this location and will not return. Reading the other bad reviews makes sense.
