| - **update April 2017**
They are now having issues keeping their lights on. Monday the free weight area was completely dark. Today half the gym, including the locker room had no lights. The free weight area being dark wasn't so bad, they had a helpful sign saying "work out at your own risk", which I am sure satisfies insurance requirements. Everyone else stay out of there so I had the whole area to myself, which was pleasant.
While as I stated below, I normally enjoy the multiple leaks on the track for a more realistic outdoor running experience, with the lights off it became frustrating as I couldn't see where the multitude of buckets were and kept running into them. (Sorry people below)
I'm excited to see what the next innovation is. My money is on no HVAC.
**End Update**
Do you like having your workout schedule disrupted by your gym not being open during posted hours?
Do you think sitting in your car for 1/2 hour staring futilely at a dark gym is not only a good time, but that you should pay for this privilege?
If you're the type of person who doesn't want enough barbells in the free weight area and enjoys being covered in rust because they don't maintain the ones they do have, you're gonna love the free weights area.
If the above sounds appealing to you, the fee is reasonable and the staff does say goodbye when you leave, so there's that.
Well, they'll say goodbye when they get around to actually opening the gym.
Protip: For a true outdoor running experience, use the elevated track so you can run through the large puddles of water that form when it rains out. Why repair a roof when people can splash to their hearts content?
