| - The vibe of this place is a very relax feel but the seating arrangement is kind of
uncomfortable. Inside on the bar I found to be the most comfortable but is very tight and tight. Outside, there is a variety of seating but most of the chairs are not dining type of chairs, good for laying out, but not for eating. It is very much like a picnic feel is what they are probably going for with it.
Well onto more important things is the food. Now I admit, I am not a fan of their type of food, so I mostly ate breakfast dishes. Their signature dish is the big Jim. It is a huge, messy, and not the healthiest of dishes but is fairly tasty. The Chicken breast is well done, but the biscuit was kind of dry and the gravy was kind of cold. I have been to so many places and tried so many biscuit and gravy, and no one ever heats up the gravy beside a luke warm temperature. I just don't get it, but anyways, it was luke warm and kind of bland. Most of the taste came from the chicken and bacon really, rest was kind of there.
I also had their welcome breakfast with sausage. Again the biscuit was not flaky or tender in the middle but dry which was a disappointment. Sausage was one of the best I have tasted even though it was swimming in grease. Eggs and potatoes were okay, nothing really inspiring but very greasy also. So this is their basic breakfast dish which I try at different places to see if there is truly something different about the place. Nothing stood out, but the sausage.
All in all I have to give them a 3 star, the quality and execution of the food does not deserve a 4 star and definitely they are not that creative or their food is so much different and outstanding that it deserve a 5 star. They are definitely a high 3 star, and I would go back, would unlikely right away or on a consistent basis, but once in a while is definitely in the cards.
