We had such a better experience today at Hendrick BMW than we did at Hendrick Lexus. Our first stop was at Lexus. We might have started and finished there, but the sales person told us too many times how good he was and it was the TOP reason for us to run out the door to go down the road just a bit to the BMW dealership. Fortunately, we found a much more personable and likable sales person, one who we felt was just as competent. It didn't matter that he was about 30 years younger.
And he didn't have to keep telling us how good he was with financing or making deals. If it came down to sales people, we'd buy a BMW SUV almost immediately. We have to consider everything. THE BMW was a more fun drive and a better looking design, we thought. The Lexus was a cushier ride. Hmmmmm. I'm kind of thinking that we need to look at the Mercedes dealership to see if we can get 1. A good sales person, 2. A softer seat than the BMW, 3. A car as fun to drive as the BMW, 4. Maybe a car that we feel combine the benefits of both the BMW and the Lexus. Hendrick has done a great job at both dealerships. They just need to be more selective with hiring sales people at both locations who are not so much into themselves. The guy named MICHAEL at the BMW place should be their standard. Not the other gentleman at Lexus, whose name I will omit in an effort to be kind. Stay tuned for the rest of the story.
