  • My pain management doctor uses ATI and I read good things about the location near me on 19th Ave N. so I called their central appointment desk, asked for a male therapist and was told I could be seen in 3 to 5 days but needed a "referral" Actually it was a prescription I needed and my doctor faxed one late the next business day, calling first thing in the morning I was told that I would have to wait two weeks because I requested a man (there are 3 men and 2 women at this location) From the amount of pleasure the scheduler clearly received from this I think I am waiting two weeks as a petty power display. I am in a good bit of pain and my complex therapy issues steadily get worse. In the past I have found that good physical therapy depends on me working with professionals as a team. As I sit here in with pain getting worse, I don't think I will be thinking about teamwork with ATI when I finally see someone. If you need therapy due to an injury, knee replacement, whatever, two weeks seems an unreasonable wait. Wish I had the freedom to try elsewhere.
