A nice idea but brunch was at best, meh. The omelets are $10 and miniscule. I got the "roasted vegetables" as a side, potatoes. They were tasteless and slightly undercooked. The vegetable and goat cheese omelet was super super bland.
My fiancé had waffles, again $10 and they were tiny and tasteless. They were served in a very well plated way with a shot glass of syrup and a pat of frozen butter on a tiny plate. It was all very pretty but the butter was useless as it was too cold to ever melt on the waffles. And for $10 they could have put more than the few bites on the plate.
The breakfast burrito our friend had went virtually uneaten. Our other friend had the mushroom burger, $15, which was a raw concoction. She seemed to really like it but it too was bland, it had a lot of different textures but no flavor.
You can go to Point/Park Brugge and for the same amount get a fresh waffle or gigantic omelet that is enough to share. I know it can be tough to be gluten free or dairy free but that doesn't mean being hosed at this below average bistro.
The décor and location are great. They just need to get a decent chef in the kitchen and maybe give a little bit more value for the cost. If they have to charge a buck or so more to give portions that won't leave someone hungry then so be it.
