  • 4.5 Stars: Montesano's is true New York style pizza and Italian food that would have the Statue of Liberty giving the owners a high-five with her torch. The torch of first-rate New York pizza and Italian food has been passed to Montesano's. Montesano's is a bargain when it comes to New York pizza and Italian food in Las Vegas. Below is a cost comparison between flying from Las Vegas and New York for a slice of New York pizza and dining in Montesano's. Exhibit 1: Flying between LV and NY for NY pizza: Average round trip flight in January, 2015: $460 Parking at Economy parking: $10 per day Taxi from JFK to Manhattan : $52 plus tolls&taxes Average hotel nightly rate in Manhattan: $225 Average price of a slice of NYC pizza: $2.75 Exhibit 2: Dining in Montesano's: lunch special with 2 slices, toppings, and bottomless Coke: $6.75 Results: Montesano's is a steel for the individual thriving for a slice of New York pizza and Italian food. Dining at Montesano's saves that individual over $600. That a savings that equals eighty-eight Montesano's lunch specials. When it comes to saving this much money on New York pizza and Italian food it was guaranteed that I was going to try Montesano's. The question I am asking myself is, "what took me so long?" A few weeks ago, I tried their two slices with toppings and a Coke $6.75 lunch special. I felt the spirit of the Statue of Liberty when I held a slice of the Big Apple in my hands. It was a thin crust overflowing with the ingredients of mouth watering cheese, delicious sauces, and mushrooms that elevated my taste buds to a place higher than the Empire State Building. No matter how much I cherish New York pizza, an eggplant parmesan hero elevates my taste buds higher than the Empire State Building up to the Stratosphere. After my initial visit, I was looking forward to trying their eggplant parmesan hero. What a culinary way to kick in 2015. Between the crunchy bread; eggplant parmesan, mouth watering cheese, sauce, and 4.5 star ingredients filled the space. I place Montesano's up in the tier of the best pizza places and Italian restaurants in the Metropolitan Las Vegas area. I am a believer that there is no best restaurant. This would stop me from discovering new places. With a savings that are worth 88 lunch specials, if I had my way I this would be my first of 87 more to go. Montesano's is delicious New York pizza and Italian food that will have the Statue of Liberty holding her torch in agreement.
