  • Okay, this office loves your $$. I came with an emergency, I broke my tooth and was in horrible pain. This office was the closest and was able to see me right away. Huge plus. When the X-rays were done and the issue with my tooth was discovered, I was told by the manager that I need to pay out of pocket to have it pulled, cost $700. If you are wondering what the problem is, I will certainly tell you. I have insurance but the office refused to bill my insurance and would only complete the procedure if I paid out of pocket first (not even after the procedure, I had to pay before) and once my insurance paid them, they'd pay me back. This was not my first trip to the dentist, but my very first time of paying upfront and then having my insurance billed. This really seemed ridiculous to me but since I was in horrible pain, I threw my hands up and did it. What followed next was months of trying to get my money back. MONTHS. The office manager told me that paying upfront and being reimbursed later is how it's usually done and since this is my second experience with a Vegas dental office, I figured may be it's true. So before the ordeal of trying to get my money back begun, I scheduled a cleaning. When I came for a SCHEDULED CLEANING what happened instead was a check up by a "specialist". WHY? I don't know. It was not what was scheduled. So I was told I needed a deep cleaning and was told I'd be paying around $300 out of pocket and would need to schedule an appointment to come back. Super irritated that my time was wasted and feeling taken advantage of, I was not going to return here. But, I have been receiving text messages from the office reminding me to come in for a cleaning. So when I called to schedule a regular cleaning, I was told NO and that a deep cleaning was what was "diagnosed". And if I do not want to complete a deep cleaning, I need to come in and talk to the doctor. Thought as a patient I have the right to decline recommendations. This office refused to do a regular cleaning, why? I'm sure because my insurance is not going to pay $300 for it. I went back to my regular dental office and the hygienist said that I do not need a deep cleaning. Moral of the review, if you like to receive services you do not need, Providence Dental is the place for you.
