Subba was my first experience with Nepali food. From Google searches I expected it to be a cross between Chinese and Indian food, which was a pretty accurate assessment. First we had the Sadako chicken, which was crispy and flavorful pieces of chicken tossed with onions, herbs, and lemon. I chose it based on Yelp recommendations and did not regret it. Even after the entrees arrived we still worked to finish the dish. The Nepali entrees (one lamb, one chicken) came with a plate of rice, lentils, vegetables in a sauce, and two different pickled salads. It was delicious. I very much enjoyed my lamb, and my friend talked about his chicken for days after. The flavors and preparation are definitely similar to Indian dishes, but there is a distinct quality to the food. I would surely return if in town again.
