I grew up in the area but I haven't really spent much time in uptown in years. So I was happy to stumble on this gem last Sat night. Enjoyed a white wine flight (great value at only $12 and fun to try different varieties). My fellow diners and I split the cheese platter, quite yummy. I had the gnocchi- great gnocchi but the sauce was a bit bland-- and the shrimp fettuccine-perfectly peppery without being overbearing. Fellow diners had the pork which was melt-in-your-mouth good (and I don't really eat pork), the chicken tacos (they said they were good) and flank steak (the worst of our choices- very fatty and not much good meat). They ran out of the peach cobbler we ordered for dessert so they gave us a chocolate tartine on the house- and it was delicious! Adorable decor, reasonable prices, great atmosphere-- live music when we were there, and excellent service.
