  • I am absolutely in LOVE with this business. MAD LOVE. I've been signed up for the weekly basket with Lufa for about a month now, and it's been a stellar experience so far. The customer service I've received has been really great. After an initial mix-up with credits on my basket, everything was quickly straightened around and I was very well taken care of. Kudos to Na'eem on being such a fabulous representative and working the magic. Now, PRODUCTS - as in, beautiful vegetables + greens, plus some other goodies: they make me very happy. This week, we got the biggest zucchini of life, perfect for roasting with some garlic. The celery, which is much thinner and darker (and tastier) than what you typically find at a grocery store, came with the bushiest bunch of green leaves on top, which I promptly cut up into a salad with some of their awesome micro-greens. It was delicious and I've never thought to eat celery greens before because grocery store celery doesn't even come with decent foliage left on it. We've been super happy with the various tomato types we've tried, and have made some kickass babaganoush with the eggplant and peppers we got (roast em up, folks, and blend with garlic). Their onions are the freshest on the planet and I could go on, but you have to try it out for yourself. Not only does Lufa have their sweet rooftop greenhouse situation happening, but they also support and bring in produce from other local, organic farms, bakeries, etc in order to support an entire community of local food production. I was super pleased to see that I could get my Noble Bean tempeh from these guys, and for cheaper than what I paid for it at the nearby health food store. Gotta love LOCAL. I love that I know exactly where my food comes from and what processes it goes through, if any. Pick-up points for food baskets are everywhere, and so far I've found it extremely convenient. No more waiting in lines at the cashier. I love shopping online, and it's like Christmas when I go to get my weekly basket from the Lufa truck. What's really fun is that there are other Lufavores coming and going for their baskets at the same time, so you get to see what kind of a community you're part of. It's super easy to get your food, and you bring your own bags, so there's no chance for plastic shopping bag waste. I have to admit, I was dubious about the whole online shopping for produce experience, because everybody likes to see exactly what they're getting to make sure there are no bruises and dents, but the quality of the foods I've received has been excellent so far. I'm a huge fan, and I think we're going to have a very healthy long-term relationship, Lufa. Oh, also, sign up with my referral code and we both get $10 worth of free food: 46282WH38506
